A lot of people are blaming the rise of Mike Huckabee in Iowa as the cause for the implosion of Mitt Romney’s campaign, but that’s not really true.  It’s Mitt Romney’s own spineless brand of flip-flopping politics that has turned off voters across the country. Someone put together this clip montage that I think spells it out perfectly…

What happens next? Well, give it a week and the media’s love affair with Mike Huckabee will end and voters will start looking for a real President. John McCain will be there and he will be our next nominee.

The media is reporting on a touching exchange between Senator McCain and a disabled veteran who was questioning why he should continue to live.   This kind of compassionate response and interactive with his audience is why people love John McCain.

It took me an entire evening, and much of the night, but I managed to put together this video that should help convince people John McCain is back and can win this election.

This CNN vs. McCain controversy isn’t very interesting or useful to the campaign.  A supporter called Hillary a bitch, and McCain didn’t specifically denounce the supporter… but instead noted that he had respect for Senator Clinton.

NRO Blogger Jim Geraghty agrees that this is CNN trying to create news out of nothing…

Team McCain is swinging away at Rick Sanchez, who I ought to note, used to host the Sunday night blogger chat segments that I appear on from time to time. I think Sanchez is a pretty good anchor, but I saw the segment last night, and it seemed to be a pretty obvious effort to turn the question to McCain into a YouTube moment. Sanchez kept inferring that McCain thought it was ”excellent” to call Hillary Clinton the B-word, and I think he’s seeing something that isn’t there. The “how to beat her” part is an excellent question to contemplate for any candidate who wants to win. And indeed, McCain went on to say he respected Hillary.
